
The United States and Japan have cemented a major energy partnership, with U.S. companies finalizing agreements to supply Japan’s JERA Co. Inc. with up to 5.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually.
This monumental deal, announced by the Department of the Interior (DOI), involves four 20-year contracts. According to S&P Global analysis, these agreements are projected to generate over $200 billion for the U.S. GDP and support more than 50,000 American jobs.
