Florida Takes a Firm Stance on Protecting ICE Agents
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier issued a strong message on June 12th, declaring unwavering support for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents operating within the state. He explicitly stated that he will not stand idly by if violence or intimidation against these agents occurs.
During a press conference, Uthmeier drew a stark contrast between Florida and states like California, asserting, “Florida is the anti-riot state, and unlike California, we support law enforcement.” He directly addressed recent unrest, referencing events in Los Angeles, and emphasized Florida’s zero-tolerance policy for such actions.
His statement went further, providing explicit protection to ICE and Border Patrol officers. “Border Patrol and ICE agents enforcing immigration law deserve protection from leftists trying to harm them,” he declared. “If the left doxes these agents, we will have their backs.” This firm stance signals a clear commitment to safeguarding federal agents working within Florida’s borders.
