Trump’s Iran Stance & Minnesota Shooting Spree: A Double-Barreled News Day

The news cycle exploded yesterday with two shockingly separate yet equally significant developments. On one hand, President Donald Trump emphatically declared his desire for a complete dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program, directly contradicting French President Macron’s assertion of a US-brokered ceasefire offer. Trump vehemently denied the existence of such an offer on Truth Social, further clarifying that he hadn’t initiated contact with the Iranian government for peace talks.

Adding to the day’s dramatic events, the Minnesota shooting suspect, Vance Boelter, is now revealed to have had a significantly broader target list. Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson announced Monday that Boelter’s attack extended far beyond the tragic killing of one state lawmaker and wounding of another. Evidence suggests dozens of potential targets, including officials in at least three additional states. Remarkably, Thompson revealed Boelter even attempted to reach the homes of two other legislators on the night of the attacks, but one was absent and police intervention thwarted his efforts at the second location.
