President Donald Trump has firmly shut down any attempts to reconcile with Elon Musk following their very public social media spat. In a recent statement on June 6th, President Trump emphasized his unwavering focus on pressing foreign policy matters.
“I’m really interested in the country solving problems, including problems in very faraway lands,” he stated, highlighting his current priorities.
The President went on to detail his engagement with significant geopolitical challenges, explaining that he’d spent the day addressing issues with China, Russia, and Iran. Musk, he confirmed, was not currently on his mind.
“I just wish him well,” the president added.
The rift between Trump and Musk intensified after Musk publicly denounced the Trump-endorsed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” currently under Congressional consideration, calling it a “disgusting abomination.” This sharp criticism followed Musk’s departure from the Trump administration at the end of May, when his term as a special government employee expired. Musk has since voiced serious concerns regarding the bill’s potential to negatively impact the federal budget.
