Illegal Immigrant in Judge Dugan Case Accepts Plea Deal, Faces Deportation

Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, the Mexican national at the center of allegations against Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan, has agreed to a plea deal. The deal, filed June 23rd in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, resolves charges related to his illegal entry into the United States.

Flores-Ruiz’s plea admits to illegal entry and carries a potential sentence of up to two years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will also serve one year of supervised release following his prison term, after which he will be deported.

The plea agreement details Flores-Ruiz’s initial illegal entry into the U.S. near Arizona on January 15, 2013. Despite being apprehended and deported the following day, he subsequently re-entered the country, leading to the current charges. The specifics of his re-entry and Judge Dugan’s alleged involvement remain subjects of ongoing investigation and separate legal proceedings.

This plea deal marks a significant development in the case, focusing attention now on the potential consequences for both Flores-Ruiz and Judge Dugan. The details surrounding the judge’s alleged actions continue to unfold and will be closely followed.
