President Donald Trump issued a strong warning on Tuesday regarding potential protests during the upcoming military parade in Washington D.C. He stated that any attempts to disrupt the event, scheduled for June 14th, will be met with “very heavy force.”
The parade, commemorating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary, promises a spectacular display. Highlights include impressive military demonstrations, static equipment exhibitions, an evening concert, and a fireworks show, all culminating in a week-long celebration.
Speaking from the Oval Office on June 10th, President Trump expressed his anticipation for the event, stating, “We’re going to celebrate big on Saturday.” He added, however, a stern message to potential protesters: “If any protesters want to come out, they will be met with very big force.”
While acknowledging a lack of awareness regarding any planned protests, the President emphasized that anyone attempting to disrupt the celebrations demonstrates a profound lack of respect for the nation. The parade also coincides with the President’s 79th birthday.
