Tiron Alexander, 35, was recently found guilty of wire fraud and illegally accessing a secure airport area after successfully posing as a flight attendant for over six years. This audacious charade resulted in an impressive – and illegal – 120 free flights.

A federal jury delivered the verdict on June 5th, concluding a case that detailed Alexander’s cunning deception. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida highlighted the extensive nature of the fraud, spanning six years. Alexander’s actions now carry a significant price tag: he faces a potential 20-year prison sentence and a $250,000 fine for the wire fraud charges alone. Additional charges related to unauthorized airport access could add another 10 years and a $250,000 fine to his potential punishment.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled for August 25th. This case serves as a cautionary tale about the consequences of attempting to circumvent security and defraud the system, no matter how creative the approach.
